What we collect

  • When you order: your name, shipping address, email address, phone number (if you give one), and order details. Payment card details go directly to our payment processor — we never receive them.
  • When you browse: your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • When you contact us: whatever you write to us, so we can answer.

Why we use it

To take and fulfil your order, to answer your questions, to prevent fraud, to understand how our site is used, and to measure and improve our advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which hosts our store.
  • Our payment providers, to take payment.
  • Our fulfilment partner and shipping carriers, to get your order to you.
  • Meta and Google, in the form of advertising and analytics identifiers, so we can measure our ads. You can limit this through your browser and through each platform's own ad settings.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the store to work (your cart, your session), and cookies that measure traffic and advertising performance. You can refuse non-essential cookies through the banner on our site or through your browser settings.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can email japanbeyond.2world@gmail.com to ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you,
  • correct it,
  • delete it,
  • or stop using it for advertising measurement.

If you are a California resident, you have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We will respond within 45 days.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we are required to for tax and accounting purposes, and browsing data for up to 24 months.

Children

Our store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

International transfer

We operate from Japan. When you order from the United States, your information is transferred to and stored in Japan and in the countries where Shopify and our fulfilment partner operate.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date shown by Shopify tells you when it last changed.
